I have been working diligently to get approval to operate my pedicab tour business in the historic district. At last, i had a meeting with the City Manager and City Attorney this past Friday. I thought the meeting was going well. At the conclusion, he informed me that he was going to recommend to the City Council a new ordinance to ban pedicabs in the Historic District and only walking tours would be approved for a tour guide license. At best, it will severly cripple my business potential. At worst, I will be out of business. He gave me very short notice to respond and prepare for this.
I just created a petition: City Council of Williamsburg, VA: Allow Colonial Pedicab to operate a tour service in the Historic District, because I care deeply about this very important issue.
I’m trying to collect 100 signatures, and I could really use your help.

Once you’re done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word! .
